Born in the port of Alvarado, Veracruz, Mexico, Ismael García comes from a large, humble family of ranchers and fishermen.
As a child, Ismael thought music will never be part of his life... his family couldn't even afford aguitar.
Now, almost 30 years later, LatinWorks is proud to present Ismael's first CD and original work: "De canciones, soledades y otros sistemas de amor"
Songs about life, social change and love. Ismael's works is known as "Trova" music, ballads from "trovadores" cuban singers who travelled through Cuba like Sindo Garay (1867-1968), the father of Trova music and later mystical figures like "Maduro" (Rigoberto Hechevarría-Ferrer) who never wanted his work to be recorded.
Today Trova music lives on in the heart of the carribean "Casa de la Trova" in Santiago de Cuba, and now through Ismael Garcia's life time work... his first "De canciones, soledades y otros sistemas de amor".
